If you've read any non-fiction books about horses, I can almost guarantee you've seen photos depicting the supposed evolution of the horse, presented as if it were a proven fact.
The earliest form, known as Hyracotherium, Eohippus, or Dawn Horse was discovered in 1841 by Richard Owen. Owen saw no connection with the modern horse at all. He thought the creature very similar to a modern-day rock badger or coney, about the size of a small dog. The "theory" has the horse growing in size from the small Eohippus through various forms, finally reaching today's Equus. Along the way the number of vertebrae, ribs, and toes randomly increased and decreased.
The supposed evolution of the horse is an imaginary story concocted from fossil fragments found in various locations around the world. There is no one site in the world where the evolutionary succession of the horse can be seen.
In north-eastern Oregon, the three-toed Neohipparion and one-toed Pliohippus were found in the same layer. This indicates that they were living at the same time, and thus provides no evidence that one evolved from the other. Bones of the supposed “earliest” horses have been found at or near the surface. Sometimes they are found right next to modern horse fossils!
Many young girls are infatuated with horses. I know that I read every horse book in our local library when I was a kid. Most kids at a young age, accept as truth what they read in books. Even many evolutionists are admitting the fairy-tale nature of the story of the evolution of the horse, although it still appears in books and even museum displays.
