If she teaches both, maybe you could ask her if you could use the western saddle until you get used to cantering.

cantering is actually easyer than trotting because trotting is a lot bouncier. Don't give up. Just keep practicing. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it!

well i ride western but cantering is a lot easier then trotting. it is very smooth. but you gotta remember to move with the horse be like one concentrate on your horse feel its back beneath the saddle feel every step it takes feel every muscle in its body while it moves and you gotta remember move with it!!!!! keep your heals DOWN!!!!!!
hun you gotta take your time on this stuff too. keep trying. be safe! this stuff really helped me!!!!! thats just how i ride like when i am not concentrating on riding and i am talking to someone while i am doing it its a lot different!1 if you do this though it will help a lot well when i was younger it helped me a lot
